AEDB : Alternative Energy Development Board

The Alternative Energy Development Board was an agency of the Federal Government established in May 2003 with the main objective to facilitate, promote and encourage development of Renewable Energy in Pakistan and with a mission to introduce Alternative and Renewable Energies at an accelerated rate.


PPIB : Private Power & Infrastructure Board

Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB) was created in 1994 as a “One-Window Facilitator” on behalf of the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to promote private investments in power sector. In 2012 PPIB was made a statutory organization through Private Power and Infrastructure Board Act 2012 (Act VI of 2012). The role of PPIB had been further expanded by the GoP by allowing it to facilitate public sector power and related infrastructure projects in IPP mode, for which PPIB’s Act has been amended in November 2015. Further, to create synergy in Power Sector, AEDB with similar mandate has been merged into PPIB on 31-May-2023, which was notified through Gazette of Pakistan on 10-June-2023.

PEC : Pakistan Engineering Council

The Pakistan Engineering Council is a professional body for accreditation of engineering education and regulation of engineering profession in Pakistan. It was established on 10 January 1976 by the Parliament under the PEC Act, 1976.


LCCI : Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry was established in 1923. It was established to serve and represent the interests of the business community in Lahore, Pakistan.


PSA : Pakistan Solar Association

Pakistan Solar Association (PSA) is a non-profit, non-governmental trade body, registered with the Directorate General Trade Organizations, Government of Pakistan that aims to promote and support the Solar Industry in Pakistan. With over 50,000 direct and indirect employees, PSA Member companies create job opportunities and boost economic growth across all segments of the value chain including engineering, professional services, small traders, manufacturing, and contracting companies. Pakistan Solar Association provides networking opportunities for member companies, solar professionals, and various local and international industry stakeholders to come together for the betterment of the Solar Industry in Pakistan. The PSA works with governmental and non-governmental organizations to assist in the development of policies intended to strengthen the local solar industry and help to achieve the vision of a Green Pakistan.
